I just can't get in the mood to really participate in this, this year. I'll probably keep up with what committee is in the spotlight what day, but I'm much more concerned with what's going on in Iran, plus I've been really caught up in All Things iPod Touch...and by extension Twitter, since I can read tweets on my iPod Touch also.

Michael Jackson

This is really a terrible shock. I think Mr. Jackson made some poor choices in his life that led to a lot of heartache and monetary problems; but he always seemed to be a good-hearted and enormously talented person to me.

Bunnicula came and told me about 1/2 hour ago that Michael Jackson had suffered a cardiac arrest and was in a coma. That was shock enough. Then while we were watching/listening to CNN's live broadcast online, the news came that he'd died.

He wasn't even known to have any heart problems. It all went so quickly. I couldn't believe it.

And Farrah Fawcett just died this morning--what a bad day for show business. :-/

Images, feelings, so hard to sort it out. Some images I wish I had never seen; but what must it be like to live there and see things like that for real?

They are fighting for their freedom, they are fighting a righteous fight. I am trying to say something noble here, and it's just not working. I don't have the words.

We will never forget the young woman, Neda, who was murdered for just standing, watching the protest. She was with her father. Here is more.

Please send thoughts/prayers for all the protesters, all the innocents, in Iran. They need all the support, one way and another, that they can get.
