GIVING (UP)
That's NaBloPoMo's theme for the month.
I only accidentally gave anything up for Lent one year: I was having such terrible food allergy problems one year that I actually *did* eat only fish during Lent, giving up beef.
But otherwise, it's not my religion, so...
However, GIVING is a different matter. I'm glad that President Obama has reawakened my desire to do some charity work. What I am giving is time and money (for yarn) and my talents (such as they are) for knitting and crocheting things for those in need.
There are so many ways a person can get involved in helping others, locally, nationally, and internationally. Google and find out what you can do for others!
