Games

I'm not going to play any more of "Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon" until I finish reading in this one FAQ up to the point of where I am in the game and slightly beyond. If I play a game "blind", I miss a LOT.

I copied the FAQs and such onto a couple flash drives so I'd have them for reading/reference on any computer, anywhere. I have a couple flash drives in with my Eee stuff, and one in my UMPC's case.

When I played the first Pokemon game (Blue), I did it totally with the strategy guide. I always feel that I'm getting my money's worth out of a game if I do *every*thing. ::grin::

Everyone else is still asleep. I've been up for about 1-1/2 hours. Today: games, knitting, etc.

using walkthroughs and stuff the first time around feels like cheating to me... i'll only do it if i'm really stuck, and then i'll only read just enough to get me pointed in the right direction again. i like trying to figure things out on my own like that.

but after i've played through it once? oh yeah. guides and everything time.
I'm different. It's like going to a foreign country: I want a travel guidebook. I don't want to miss anything the first time around, since who knows if I'll be there again?

Same with IL:HM. I do NOT want the trauma of seeing those people DIE, then have to play it again to make things right. I want to get it right the first time.

I never feel I'm "cheating" with guides. It's my game. I can play it how I like. It's not a test. It's not something I'll be graded on. It's something to be enjoyed. And that works out differently for each person. :-)
yup. i have no problems with other people using guides, because you're right, the point is to have fun.

i was just raised with the old school gamer philosophy. if i can't figure it out, i'm unworthy to know. :P
