Natasha Richardson

From what I can make out, she died of what my mother almost died from. A slight bump of the head, not anything that would seem serious, but in the wrong place, can cause bleeding between the brain and the skull.

And it can go so fast. But in Mama's case it didn't. They say that people's brains shrink as they get older, plus women on long-term hormone replacement therapy can have further brain shrinkage. This could've been Mama's salvation, in that there was a little more room in her skull for the blood building up. The neurosurgeon just had to time it right as to when to evacuate the blood. But it was a near thing.

For Natasha Richardson it went so terribly fast. I feel so sorry for her whole family.
