Games, shopping, yarn, books...

It's been a nice day. I slept late and had a leisurely breakfast. We played a board game ("Fast Flowing Forest Fellers"). Then we watched the first episode of a new (to us) Denpa Shonen series about a Japanese comedy duo stranded on a desert island (eep!).

After that we went out shopping. It was nice and cool and drizzly--my kind o' weather! We went to the Dollar Store to get more containers for my yarn. And then on to the Evil Place, WalMart. I thought they would have more older yarn, still left; but the fun fur fad is over. I managed to find some Lion Brand Fun Fur Stripes in Deep Sea. I bought some of the new Caron Simply Soft Eco in black to go with it for a hat and wrist warmers. The Simply Soft Eco is 80% acrylic and 20% recycled plastic bottles (really!). It's not quite as silky as the original Simply Soft, but a pretty cool concept.

I also got an iTunes card and a game for the DS called "Zenses Ocean", which is supposed to be a very relaxing puzzle game. In addition you get a "free downloadable MP3 chill out album". Sounds nice.

Today I started reading The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood. Really well-written and easy to fall into, but very hard, emotionally. Each of these women has a difficult past.

The guys have gone to the grocery for the weekly shopping. I'm feeling kind of down. I think it's a combination of the book and being tired and just plain running out of energy. Oh yeah. That last part *could* be due to the fact that I was up until all hours last night playing "Innocent Life: A 'Futuristic' Harvest Moon"! Cat'r said, "Now you see why Harvest Moon is addictive!". :-D
