Mixed pickles

I got up early, not much sleep--so I'll need a nap at some point.

Somewhere early this morning I was watching last night's Rachel Maddow Show, but then I got distracted by the Internets.

I've been online a lot: reading the news; organizing one of my (MANY) folders in Gmail; buying several music videos from the iTunes Store because I was missing the Cat'r and wanted to see some of the videos we watched together when we first *were* together. :-)

I've been going through project ideas (77 pages' worth!) for Moda Dea Sassy Stripes yarn over on Ravelry...and then 24 pages' worth of project ideas for Red Heart Strata yarn. Lots of stuff to look at, lots of free patterns to download!

The above ^ all started (I *think*) because I got an email from Lion Brand and saw a pattern for crocheted wrist warmers using their Sock-Ease yarn. I thought, "Well, I can't use that, but I already have some Moda Dea Sassy Stripes--that should work." Uh, not exactly. I don't think the two yarns are the same weight. But again, I could modify the pattern as I go along...But then I thought, "Maybe I could get some wrist warmer ideas *using* Sassy Stripes yarn over on Ravelry."

And I fell down the rabbit hole. :-P

I need to get some lunch!
