We did get some heavy rain and some rumbles of thunder overnight, but no leaking! Yay! And it was the kind of thunderstorm that you just snuggle down into the covers a bit more and drift back into sleep. :-)
It looks like it's going to be a fairly cloudy day today, so I don't think I'll be working on anything ::mumble mumble mumble:: (secrecy required here--someone reads this IJ that mustn't know! hehehehe!) that requires good daylight.
Should probably do this morning: wash dishes.
Would like to do today: play "Disney Fairies: TinkerBell". I bet Fairy Mary is not going to be happy with me--I didn't play yesterday at all, so I didn't accomplish anything. No darts for me?
I must not start another knitting or crochet project until I finish something I'm working on now!!
I have three dishcloths moving along nicely. I have the super-secret project I need to start Real Soon Now (I don't consider this starting something new--this is an already-begun-in-my-head project; Scott Cunningham said that you've already started doing a spell when you've begun thinking about it and planning it out in your head). I have that crocheted bathmat I need to finish. I am not in a hurry to finish the knitted Mango Scarf. That's something to work on while Cat'r reads to me. I don't need it until autumn. I'd like to finish the Baby Banana amigurumi at some point.
Other UFO's: knitted mixed-media summer shawl; little pale-blue knitted fuzzy keyhole scarf; loom-knitted rib-knit warm yellow scarf; green-and-white
Beth's Little Star afghan.
I have lots of yarn packaged up with labels as to what it's intended for. At some point I want to make a
Jayne hat for Cat'r! hehehe He said he'll wear it if I make it!
BUT: after I finish Mama's two washcloths and ::mumble mumble mumble::, I want to get started on a hat-scarf set for charity. It'll be for winter, for
Solomon's Porch. I have the yarn here and want to get started. I just don't know if I'm going to knit a hat in the round or crochet. For a guy I'm going to use one strand of black worsted weight yarn and one strand of army green WW yarn held together--homemade camo. Should be nice and warm!
So: lots of WIMs (works in mind), WIPs (works in progress), etc. Yeah: WIPs sounds *much* better than UFOs (unfinished objects)! :-)
I'm sure I'll knit or crochet on something today--I have the urge!
