CountryMouse's Refuge

The charity group I'm in put out a call for hats and scarves and warm things for teens at this one drop-in center. I started working on a nice warm hat today, loom-knitting (which is fast). But then I heard that teens don't like this particular yarn, Lion Brand Homespun, so the hat might end up in the bottom of a backpack and not be worn. These are street kids. But I guess they want black and wool (which I can't work with--allergies) and whatever looks tough. Well, that's not what I have on hand, so I guess this particular hat will have to go to some other place where people would be happy just to be warm. Sheesh, kids.
