Preparing

I got all the (other) game machines unplugged (which believe me was a rats' nest of wires), and that little shelf/stand moved away. Then we moved the TV stand, which contains the TV, tuner, VHS machine, DVR, and DVD player. Then Bunnicula moved the heavy wood record cabinet that is full of LPs. All the stuffed animals that usually reside on the couch are asleep in a double-bagging of lawn/leaf/garbage bag on the couch.

Saturday Cat'r and Bunnicula need to go to the hardware store to get more plastic drop cloth stuff.

The Wii is put away in its box it originally came in, along with the stand and the power cord. Cat'r told me to leave the sensor bar and Wii Speak on top of the TV. The Wiimotes and nunchucks are also in the living room.

I'm hoping I can somehow keep the cable modem safe and working. It's sitting on top of one of our many CDs cases in the living room at present. I hope we don't have to disconnect it.

The warm-up is going to be on Sunday, so if we're going to get leaking, that'll be the day it starts.

There's something coming on Monday/Tuesday. Weather buffs are trying to figure out if it will be a rain event or a big snow storm. Just to be safe, we'll probably stock up at the grocery store this weekend.

Comments

not that i've done this myself, but i personally don't have enough cords anyway. what can help with rats nests is used toilet paper rolls. ya know. the cardboard things. or paper towel cardboard things. or if you want to actually spend money, thin pipes. then you can not only keep them from getting too tangled, you can actually write what plugs go through it. course, i prefer labeling my plugs with masking tape tags.
Good ideas! I'll pass them along to Cat'r, as he's the one who put all that stuff together.
