Preparing

We got about 3-4" of snow overnight. I'm glad I got some photos out front before the snowplow and shovellers came along!

Bunnicula is out getting things we need. He says it's pretty rough walking. Also it has started to rain...freezing rain. He bought an umbrella while he was out. We're supposed to get sleet and snow and freezing rain and such. Eventually it will turn back over to all snow.

Meanwhile I've been charging all kinds of things, in the event of: cell phone (B's is already charged up), both my DS's, both iPods, my Eee is charging now, so is my PSP. Also I never charged the battery on my portable DVD player, so I'm doing that. I still want to charge my UMPC and check that the laptop's battery is fully charged. Also B.'s portable DVD player (yes, we both have one). His DS is totally charged, as he always plays his games on A/C. I'll probably check my GBA's too.

We have a lot of batteries, bottled water, non-perishable meal stuff. B.'s getting me a few extra jars of baby beef. He *should* get himself a little container of milk. Well, he's going to Fresh Market anyway, so I'm sure he'll be getting it there.

I got the dishes done. I'll cook and prepare the beef when he gets back from shopping. Then we'll do our taxes--IF TurboTax is up and running. It wasn't last night. :-/

Cat'r *did* manage to get to work this morning; but when it started to be freezing rain around noon, he and other workers decided to head home and work from home. That's what he's doing now--working, but at home. He said the rain was freezing to his windshield while he was driving home!

Let's see...what can I hook up here to this power strip back here?....

ETA: My GameBoy Micro seems totally full up, so I put that back. I'm charging my GameBoy Advance SP here by the computer.

i don't know what kind of battery the DS uses, but if it's a lithium, it's best to let it drain out it's power completely every once in awhile, or it kills the battery. My mom's cell phone had a lithium, and she always had it plugged in and never used it. within a few months, the battery wouldnt' hold a charge to last even 3 hours. i looked up the battery type, and it said something like once every 30 charges it needs to totally drain or it screws with the chemistry or something.
I'm not sure if I've ever let the DSs' batteries ever drain totally, just get down into the red, where it's frantically telling you to save and shut off NOW, then plug it in.

Wow, here's an interesting place.

Oh my

It sounds like ur charging everything good luck mousie im sure you wont have to use the batterys,im pretty glad england dosnt get this weather but i have to admit its freezing here and the wind is awful i wish u all my luck on the next few weather days :)

Re: Oh my

Thanks! I hope we don't need the batteries either. :-)

Bunnicula is seriously thinking of not going out tomorrow at all. He needs new boots, but the sidewalks will be pretty icy, so I think he'll wait a day to go up the street to the shoe store.
