Games, cooking, video, music
This afternoon we played Dragonland, a very pretty dice/collecting/board game. Then we played our ever-popular Cosmic Wimpout. And finally we played Hearts. Wow, Cat'r shot the moon twice! Bunnicula and I each made a valiant attempt, but neither of us quite made it. Ah well, you never know if you might be able to if you don't try. :-)
Then I cooked and processed my little meals for the next few days. And after I cleared out of the kitchen, it was Cat'r's turn: he made chicken fried rice for B. and him. They are watching Stargate: SG-1. I think it's the last episode. Then they'll have a couple movies to watch in the next couple weeks. Who knows what series they'll watch next?
Meanwhile, I've been ripping CDs. There is a very cute bonus track on Carrie Newcomer's new CD (The Geography of Light) called "Don't Push Send". Too cute! :-P

A whole lot of hope....
Carrie Newcomer is AWESOME!
I used to see her play in West Lafayette, back from 1987 to 1992 when I was at Purdue, and even used to get up on stage during her breaks and sing a song or two, sometimes.
I knew her when she was part of Stone Soup, before she met Rob Meitus, who is now her manager (and, if I'm not mistaken, husband in some aspect or another, if only by common law, even). Rob used to play in an awesome band called "East of Eden". They used to play at this house that was called the "Hungie Bungie House" where a couple of the band members lived. Later, I and a friend had an act called "The Hungie Bungies" derived from this house's name. I mention that on my music page at photodharma.com.
Rob later had a band called the Dorkestra, who were equally awesome, and it was in that era that he and Carrie met.
And Rob and I were in a production of Godspell together at the Wesleyan Foundation at Purdue. I was acting, and he was the guitar for the pit band.
Ah...what memories....
How do you know of Carrie?
Carrie is a Quaker.
