Board game fun!

We played that beautiful board game, "The Princes of Machu Picchu", that we played for the first time on December 20, 2008.

I liked it quite a bit the first time we played, and I enjoyed it even more today! It's a game that usually takes a while to play (about 2-1/2 hours today!), but you don't feel like it's dragging and are usually surprised that that much time has gone by!

I have photos of it, but I haven't put them up yet. There's lots of buying and selling and sacrificing at temples (only llamas, and also inanimate goods, NO PEOPLE), plus getting your runner up the mountain to gain "sacrifice cards" (these will determine your victory points at the end, along with how many priests/priestesses and workers you have). You also have to plan in advance how to win, whether or not the Spanish invade...and if you cooperatively decide to save Machu Picchu from the Spanish or not!

Cat'r won with 35 points, I had 33, and Bunnicula lagged behind somewhat.

Time for (late!) lunch!
