The rest of yesterday
because I didn't feel like writing about it then, here, that is. Here is what I said in my paper journal:
"Coolness! I stacked up nine sugar cookies and put a candle in it. I phoned Cat'r [who couldn't come up this weekend--he's still cold-y] at the game store, put Bunnicula on the other phone, and EVERYone sang me "Happy Birthday"!! [even all the folks in the game store!] Then, after we hung up, I lit the candle, made my wish, and blew it out. Here are the presents I got: from my sister: Route 66: Season One DVD set (I watched this *faithfully* in the early 1960's and at some point got George Maharis' autograph when he was out at Moonlight Gardens at Coney Island)."
Bunnicula gave me the coolest birthday card EVER. See it here!
More from my paper journal: "Bunnicula gave me: k.d. lang's latest CD, "watershed"; the 50th anniversary soundtrack/recording of "West Side Story" starring Hayley Westenra (among others); The Norwood Mouse Twins, cute little *tiny* plush creatures, part of Calico Critters of Cloverleaf Corners; and a cute little white rubber mouse figurine. Cat'r is bringing presents when next he comes up."
I managed to have a good birthday by having my wrenching upset-ness over 9/11 on the day before (the 10th), then totally avoiding the news online and on TV on my actual birthday. That's my plan from now on. It worked. I had a nice birthday. :-)

i mean. a journal's a journal. why does it matter if it's online or not?
*shrug* i just can't keep paper journals, so i've never had one, so i don't know what the big deal is about them.
I keep a paper journal because it's less ephemeral than online. Also, I LOVE using my fountain pens. And I can paste things in my journals. I don't scrapbook, I just use my journal.
I am posting every single day in my InsaneJournal because I am still doing the Blog365 challenge. I doubt seriously I will post as frequently next year. (*knock on wood!* don't mean to be tempting fate)
musta been someone else on my flist that i confused you with. lo siento!
I did have a therapist that had me keep a dream journal once. It was fascinating!
