Endless Ocean
I had been tiring somewhat of the game, feeling it becoming somewhat repetitious. Here is what I posted over on the GameFAQs message board earlier today:
"I've completed all the major story lines. I am not doing well at finding artifacts at present, or shells, or anything else. I may have to resort to the Salvage Item FAQ. :-/
"I put different music on, I take all diving requests (although those are all getting to be the same). I still can't find a South American sea lion, although I must've seen one at some point, since it's in my encyclopedia. I just can't remember where in the world I saw it. I have not gotten any other photo requests, probably until I find a SA sea lion or the request expires.
"I am not finding diving with others all that fulfilling. The only other thing I can think to do is start a new character, the opposite gender, and this time go S L O W L Y through the story.
"How do you guys get to the other months so quickly?? I am still in August. I didn't think I would get bored; but maybe that happened because I overdosed at first and played incessantly, rushing through all the story lines.
"So, what can I do to revive my interest? I love this game, but I don't want to end up avoiding it."
I got some different helpful responses. And I went diving again this afternoon. Here is what I posted about that on the message board:
"Well, going to Rock Bluff did not help a South American sea lion show up on deck. However that photo request dropped off when I got a new photo request for an Emperor...uh, I forget, but I had no problem getting a good pic of it. :-) It got accepted into the magazine.
"Then I decided to go to Ship's Rest with Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata playing, which is beautiful and creepy at the same time. ::grin:: I think it was there that I found the rest of a Chinese pottery compass thingee. And that gave me a new wet suit! :-)
"I went to the Abyss with music called 'Algebra of Darkness'. heh. Maybe that was where I found the pottery shard? I forget. But I also discovered another skeleton down there! Not telling any more. :-)
"I also took two clients on dives at the Blue Holes. Both were 5 for 5 ratings.
"As to keeping interest: I think possibly the judicious use of inspiring music while watching the fish and marine life move helps keep one aware of the beauty in the game. :-) And leisurely exploration with no expectations. Opinions?
"I enjoyed my time diving today! (1 hour earlier, 2 hours just now)"
Okay, time for me to go eat!
