More power! RAWR!
Okay, this is really a mixed-bag entry. We *lost* power yesterday--that is, the electricity went off. Blue-sky sunny hot day. No discernable reason for the outage.
Fortunately Cat'r had driven up here earlier than normal on a Friday, so he was able to whisk me off to a nearby Starbucks. Before we left I phoned to see if the outage had been reported. It had, and the recording said the estimated time for restoration of power would be about 2 hours. So we left.
Bunnicula had an appointment at the eye doctor's, so he went off to that. When he got home the electricity was back on, the air conditioning was running, and it was fairly tolerable in here. Cat'r and I waited about 1/2 hour, then came back home.
While at Starbucks we played Coloretto and had drinks.I tried using my little Nintendo DS Lite Browser, but I couldn't really see what I was doing, it was so dinky. Trying to sign up for a T-Mobile one day pass or whatever was really almost impossible on such a tiny screen. That's when I decided.
I am getting something bigger. Something nicer. Today, after reading lots of reviews last night and watching YouTube videos and getting Cat'r's opinion, I ordered a Samsung Q1B UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC)--a tablet PC. Well, a large hand-held. Well, sorta some of both. Anyway, it's coming next Wednesday or Thursday. ::bouncing up and down:: :-P
