Being sick sucks
This morning, around 3am, when I had to get up and eat something and take meds., I saw a film over one eye. Blinking eventually got rid of it. But I know what this means. I took a look in a hand-held mirror. My eye is blood-shot/pink-ish. I think this might be conjunctivitis coming on. :-( :-( I had this back in 2001, when I hadn't been on LiveJournal long. Here is the beginning of those entries. I had had a cold then, including losing my voice early on and all, just like this time. I can't for the life of me figure out what I did to get this again. I am usually sooo careful now when I have a cold not to touch my eyes except with a clean tissue.
So it's Thanksgiving Day. I will have to phone Cat'r and see if Peanut is going to be up here in Cincy also today. Maybe Cat'r can stay over with him and have dinner with him (I don't know of Peanut's wife will be home for the holiday--Peanut called last night, on the road, needing Cat'r's new phone number).
This so totally sucks, as I really don't want Cat'r to get this, but I miss him LOTS. But he canNOT afford to get sick now, especially having just started a new job.
So about the eye thing: I will just use HypoTears today, try not to do too much with my eyes, and see if the doctors' office is open tomorrow. And I am being super-careful about turning faucets off and on with a tissue, opening doors and turning on light switches with my elbow, all kinds of stuff you never think about, but that I need to do to protect Bunnicula.
Anyway, I hope the rest of you-all have a Happy Thanksgiving!
