Crochet stuff
Today I made the LARGE flower to go either on the Road to Romance cape or on the matching cloche. Everything is finished on that set except for the hooks and eyes for the cape (phoning a LYS--local yarn store--tomorrow to find out if they can advise me) and attaching the flowers.
I did a little stitching on the Capulet Caplet (just like it sounds--an open-work Juliet-type cap) that I started last night: it's in Caron Simply Soft Orchid (a light lavender colour), to match the Round the Capelet and openwork wrist/arm warmers (both completed already) in the same colour. I thought I wanted the hat I already have made to go in this set; but then I found this pattern (Capulet Caplet) and decided to make it TOO! :-) It's almost totally chain stitch!
This evening I lazed in bed and worked on my crocheted zigzag/ripple scarf, no rushing, just enjoying the process. I am still amazed how that stitch works, almost like magic the way it happens! I finished the body of the scarf (a nice pretty light pink--Lion Brand Jiffy yarn); now I've started the fuzzy Paton's ChaCha aqua/yellow/purple variegated trim. :-)
