Further along the Road to Romance
(see here for earlier on the road) Today I made the flower that is either going on the cape or on the matching cloche. There is also a pattern for a larger flower, to go on either/both.
I made the cloche today--easy-peasy, except for the fact that hats often don't fit me, so I had to frog it (rip it! rip it!) back several rows a couple times, to get the right amount of stitches. It's definitely flapper-y. :-)
Cat'r likes the way the cape looks. I think it's growing on me. :-) I added the extra rows yesterday, so mine has a bigger, more shawl-like collar. But it's gonna be warm! :-)
Cat'r will take me to Banasch's and/or Joann's tomorrow to look for large hooks and eyes (he thought I said "hooks and knives" and said, "Aaarrrrrr!" in his best pirate voice :-P ).
Wow, I so want to make some kind of wrist warmers to go with this cape!
