Crochet!

Okay, so I got impatient. :-P I wanted to go look at yarn and FEEL yarn and not wait for my big order from Herrschner's. :-P

It is a nice cool grey day (perfect mouse weather), so Cat'r took me to Jo-Ann Fabrics, Michael's, a local knitting shop (that only carries wools and no synthetics), and finally to Meijer's.

At Meijer's I got 6 skeins of Red Heart Light and Lofty Navy Grape yarn (for a throw pattern I got from the Lion Brand Yarn site). That's all they had. I needed one more skein, but I wasn't too worried, since there is no dye lot on this. I thought I had seen it back at Jo-Ann's. Heh, no. Michael's didn't have it either. So I ordered one--ONE--skein from Herrschner's (my other order had already processed--too late to add to it!). I don't think I will be fast enough to finish this before the last skein gets here, though. :-P

Wow, I see why ChiChi doesn't like to work with dark yarns! I was practicing with some red yarn I had, to remind myself of how to *do* this. I tried with the Light and Lofty--wow, that's going to require good lighting! It's fluffy AND dark, so you can't see the individual strands very well, to see your exact stitches. Well, not in low light, anyway.

But it's gonna make a NICE throw to cuddle up with. :-) SOfffft!
