  • 17:33:36: Got replacement Kala Kiwi uke--not the same. :-( Sending it back for refund. Might be getting a reduced-priced concert Fluke! #fb
  • 17:39:46: @webcruzr21 Thank you very much. :-)
  • 18:03:46: Way behind on reading tweets--don't know when I'll get time to catch up. Doing dishes in a minute, busy this eve.
  • 18:05:41: Might be getting a digital video camera tonight on sale (thanks @deach !)--if so, Cat'r & I might make a video. We'll see. :-)
  • 19:20:40: @thisnthat I'm going to use the money towards a Fluke, I think. I might be getting one built from a "factory-second" top, so 20% off!
  • 19:21:25: @thisnthat Mainland some time in the future. Flukes and fleas withstand low humidity better--gets DRY in here in winter!
  • 19:44:51: @webcruzr21 Me too. Oh well.
  • 22:35:26: Well, that was a total bust: sound quality on $100 Insignia dv camcorder was worse than on my Canon PowerShot. :-/ 15% restocking fee.
  • 22:36:45: @thisnthat How does the relative humidity stay in your house? For ukes it should be around 40-50%, IIRC.

A so-so day that got better

I had to go to the lab this morning to have a blood test for my thyroid levels--I started taking Synthroid last July, and the doc wants to see how it's doing and if she needs to increase the dosage. I hate to have blood drawn. It's not the needle (not much)--it's that I don't think my blood should be OUTSIDE my body! Eep! And I sure don't want to watch the process. Urgh.

But after that, as we stopped by a Burger King on the way home, things got better. All the rest of the day may sound mundane and boring, but everything was so much better because Cat'r was here, pretty much all day. :-)

In the early afternoon, while the guys went to Target to get stuff to outfit Cat'r's kitchen in his new apartment, I went through the coupons and ads. When they got back, Bunnicula and I made the grocery list for what we needed here, and Cat'r made one for stuff he needed at his place.

After that, I cooked and prepared my little meals for the next several days, then had my lunch. Later, the guys went to Fresh Market while I read more in _Little, Big_ by John Crowley.

When they got back, B. fixed hot dogs for them (I can't eat them--oh well), and we all watched an episode of the excellent series, "Warehouse 13". After that we all played a Tinkerbell card game; 8 1/2; and Cosmic Wimpout.

Cat'r has been playing Rock Band 2 transatlantic since then, and I had my late supper. And now I'm online.

I am soooo glad Cat'r is staying overnight tonight. When he moved permanently over to his apartment last Sunday, it was hard to get used to. And as the week progressed, I was missing him more, even though he's been over every evening. But now that we've been all together today, it feels like our family is complete again. :-)
