I've been playing "Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon" a LOT today.

I can't believe I've been having SO MANY STORMS during the autumn season in my first year! I had three storms in six days' time--in other words: storm, nice day, storm, nice day, storm, nice day. I have now lost count of the storms.

When I saved a few minutes ago, it was storming. I just can't wait to see what damage has been done to my crops in the morning. Again. Sheesh!

There is a glitch in "Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon" whereby you may not be able to upgrade your Bas&Ket Rail system if you don't buy a certain amount of the carts at a certain time. They will no longer be available after a certain point, and no matter what you do, you will be stuck with the slowest, low-grade motor and system. :-/ This makes a serious difference as you open up more fields and have more crops to harvest.

So I'm thinking of mapping out how I want to lay down the rails, then starting the game over, THIS time using the FAQ/walkthrough from the *beginning* (which would've saved me running into this problem in the first place).

Grrrrr.

ETA: Reading through all the posts at GameFAQs, I may have found the answer to my problem: buy more rails. I'll try that and see if that unlocks the next upgrade on the Bas&Ket Rail system. I hope! I don't really want to start my game over totally.

I did buy more rails and immediately was able to buy the upgrade on the motor and carts on the Bas&Ket Rail system. I put the old one in the barn!

I also found out why I was having so many storms: I had my fields totally fully tilled. I knew if you had crops in 100% of a field/some fields, you would get storms; but apparently tilling all the earth in a field will cause storms to come frequently also. So I flattened a lot of earth with my hammer, and now the weather is more tranquil.

So I am NOT starting the game over! Yay!
