Time change

It's really going on 3am to me. I've already changed the clocks I can reach. Tomorrow I will have to have tall people reach other ones for me to fix. Also, I have to see which of my electronic devices update themselves and which I need to help.

I still can't believe we're going onto Daylight Saving Time this early in the year. :-/

Studies have shown that DST does not actually save energy. I wish the government would pass a law doing away with it altogether.

PSP

I rediscovered my PlayStation Portable this weekend, since Cat'r brought his new one up. I have one game that I actually *like* for the PSP: "Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee". I've been playing it for HOURS this weekend! I also have a lot of UMD movies I can watch on the PSP.

Tomorrow Cat'r is going to take me to GameStop so I can trade in some games and see if they have "Cars" for the PSP and maybe one or two other games.

Time, time, time, see what's become of me

I'm up, having breakfast. Bunnicula just got up. His body is still on Standard Time, so he woke up naturally at 10am (he almost always wakes at 9am). Cat'r was up around 3am, having a very late supper, now he's sleeping in. No wait, he's up now. He's going to fix himself some Eckerlins (the best kind!) goetta for breakfast. :-) How Cincinnati can you get?!

We're supposed to have thunderstorms, possibly severe, later today--eep!

Cat'r said he'd take me around to places I want to go today: GameStop, Meijer, Michaels. I want to trade in some games and get one or two PSP games; I want to look at yarn (what's new?! heh); and I want to get a few silk flowers.

Cannes--not

We all just played a tile-laying game called Cannes. We universally did not like it. Cat'r has played it twice and had the same reaction both times. The basic premise is gathering components in order to make movies. But the main problem with the game is that it's over before you can make more than one movie (or even one movie at *all*). There are lots and lots of chits for movies and money, but you never need them/get to use them because the game ends too quickly and abruptly.

There was a reason Cat'r got this originally-$60-game for $6. And the artwork! It looked like a six-year-old did it! I can see paying $60 for the gorgeous Lord of the Ring cooperative board game. And for the equally gorgeous The Princes of Machu Picchu, with all its lovely artwork and all kinds of little perfectly-crafted wooden bits. But not this.

We hardly ever have this kind of reaction to a game--all of us. The last time was years ago, with O Zoo le Mio. Blurgh.

Shopping, Dollhouse, Weather

We all went to GameStop first, this afternoon. I traded in a couple PSP games and one DS game for only around $8.00. Oh well! I bought two new PSP games: "Cars" and "Ultimate Board Game Collection". I also got two used UMD movies: "Dogma" (I have the deluxe version of the DVD that Cat'r gave me some time back as a gift--he and I had originally seen it on opening night in a packed movie theatre) and "Short Circuit", which is such a cute movie. We still joke around about "Do you know what people are liking for driving at night?" (I hope I remembered that correctly) and the answer is: "Headlights"

Next we went to Meijer. I was SHOCKED at how little yarn they had! They used to have a fairly nice-sized yarn section. Sheesh! I bought no yarn there. Their video game section looked pretty bare too. The only good thing we found there was sugar-free PEEPS!!! They are sweetened with Splenda! We got several packages for Cat'r!

And finally we went to Target: I found three books and three DVDs, all at pretty darn good prices.

Then home again. While we were gone the weather radio alarm had gone off for a tornado watch. Eep. So that was a thought in the background. Bunnicula rustled up some late lunch for the guys, then we all watched the second episode (I know, we're behind) of "Dollhouse" on Hulu. This show is *good*!

During the show, the weather radio alarm went off again, this time for a tornado warning. I turned on the TV to get the latest (it's good we kept the basic/local channels!). It was going to miss us to the north. There were a couple other scares, but we got by with just one storm of very heavy rain and really strong winds. No lightning and thunder to speak of.

Cat'r left to go back to L'ville around 7:15pm. B. did the dishes, I got things straightened up.

I think I might try one of my new games in a minute.
