The coolness of Ravelry

Whoa, I've been on Ravelry for over a year and didn't really know all that it can do to help a knitter and crocheter!

I did a search under yarn for Red Heart Symphony, just to see who had stashed some. What I did NOT know is that it will show you how many projects people have used your specified yarn in! So you get a lot of good ideas and links to patterns too! I spent a couple hours or more looking at over 300 projects utilizing Red Heart Symphony! I ended up buying a pattern for a shawl too, while I was at it.

I need to check out some other yarns I have, to see what others have done with them!

OMG All Gone!

I just checked back at the Herrschers site to see how much Red Heart Symphony yarn was left--NONE!

I am *soooo* glad I got mine late last night/early morning!

Time to think about spring

It's 22*F. out now, but tomorrow it's going up to 47*F.! And it'll be mild for about the next week, probably longer.

Tomorrow will be a good day for me to rearrange my scarves, hats, ponchos and shawls, etc., putting away autumn and winter things, getting out the springtime things.

Need sleep! Must sleep now!

Blah

It's a nice sunny day. It's mild (around 50*F.). But I feel tired and depressed. Maybe I just need more sleep.

I did get more done on Mama's knitted washcloth while tensely waiting to see if the apartment manager/landlord would decide to show up, since he was on the premises. He has a habit of wanting to pop into people's apartments with no notice. But since a neighbour had asked to use our phone to call him (neighbour had locked himself out of his apartment), we knew manager/landlord/tyrant was on the way. So we madly straightened things up as best we could.

He never did come to the door, so Bunnicula went on up to the post office.

I want to get some things done, but I just feel tired. It's too sunny in the bedroom right now to nap. Blah.

Things I actually got done

Which might not seem like much, but it's hard to motivate yourself if you're feeling tired/depressed.

1. Backed up all my knitting and crochet patterns from my hard drive onto DVD.

2. Went through all my crocheted and knitted hats, scarves, mini-wraps, etc. and put away autumn and winter things and got out spring things (with summer things nearby).

3. Printed out March calendar for the refrigerator and put in appointments, birthdays, etc.

4. Searched through several books and found a hat pattern I want to start crocheting tomorrow. I have the yarn already. I want a lightweight hat and wrist warmers to go with a long heavy cabled sweater I have. I already have a keyhole scarf that matches the sweater well.
