Cold and bright

That's how it's been this morning! It's bright and sunny and cheerful this morning, but COLD.

When we woke up at 9am, it was 10*F. out, with a wind chill temperature of -4*F.

Now it's noontime, and it's up to 12*F., with a wind chill of -2*F.

The only place Bunnicula is going today is to take out the trash around back!

Too bright to play any video games or watch anything in the living room, so Animal Crossing: City Folk will have to wait until this afternoon.

The upside of all the brightness: I can see the true colours of inks I've been using. ::grin:: I often write in my journal by fairly dim light late at night. :-D

Staying indoors

This was a day for video games and TV-watching (so what's new?!). heh

Bunnicula and I both took our turns and went to New_Hope, our Animal Crossing: City Folk town. Ten days down, five more to go in keeping our town perfect and being rewarded with the golden watering cans...which incidentally should occur on Inauguration Day! Our town flag is the Obama symbol, and that's pretty much where our town name came from. :-)

This afternoon B. and I watched three hours' worth of the program "Clean House". Love it!

While we were watching TV, the weather radio alarm went off. I thought, "What weather emergency could possibly be happening on a clear, cold day?!". It turns out the National Weather Service wants people to be especially aware of the dangers of the low wind-chill temperatures we'll be having through 6pm tomorrow.

Hungry. Need supper.
