I am not sure when my yellow Sailor 1911M Colors fountain pen will be arriving...this week or next.

I *was* going to ink it with Pelikan Brilliant Brown bottled ink, but then I remembered I already have Sailor Jentle Blue-Black cartridges and a bottle of Sailor Jentle Red-Brown.

I sometimes like to use the same brand ink as the pen. This is an always thing with my brother's Parker '51' pen: it *always* gets Parker Quink Washable Blue ink. It doesn't seem happy with any other ink.

Just to make my new pen feel happy and welcome, I ordered a couple more bottles of Sailor Jentle ink: green and brown. Also some black cartridges and some blue cartridges. I am foregoing the gray ink, the yellow-orange, and the red cartridges...although the gray may be something I'd like in the future.

It's at 17*F. and holding.

We are supposed to get some snow by rush hour, then periods of snow showers through the day. One to three inches of snow are expected. I would LOVE for it to be more!

The bottom will drop out of the thermometer tomorrow night and for Thursday and Friday. Then things will moderate a bit after that. I think we'll finally get back above freezing again (0*C.) on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Need sleep *now*.

Bunnicula has gone up to the post office and is making a swing by the gas station convenience store too. It's cold out, but it won't get snowy/messy until later today...so "they" say.

I think I'm gonna leave my desktop computer off today. I'll just have the laptop set up in the kitchen. Some days I just don't feel like running back and forth into the back room to type something. I'll just let the laptop sleep most of the time.

I'm seeing snow on the radar, but it's not reaching the ground yet. I guess the air is too dry at this point.

Hungry. Breakfast soon. UPS delivering something--a DVD I think--today.

I don't have my computer on. I don't like to have any extra appliances/electronics on if the power might go out. Otherwise you have to remember what you need to turn off before the power comes back on!

It's very windy out; and I'm posting to my IJ, from Bunnicula's computer, using the form on the Web. I just never used to be that worried about the wind until after we went through the Hurricane Ike thing last September.

I looked out a little while ago--we *did* get a little snow. But it's been blowing around all over the place. Still, something pretty to look at as we go through the extra-cold next few days.

One of the two houses across the way has taken its Christmas lights down. Those were the coloured lights. There is still one other house that has the white icicle-like lights still up. It's nice to look out during this dreary time of year and see something cheerful like that. :-)

Okay, time for a late supper. I've been to New_Hope (AC:CF). I got caught up in my paper journal. Bunnicula made an extra run to the post office before it started getting colder. Hunker-down time is here.
