Blog 365 -- sheesh!

By doing some searching, I learned (way late) that the founder of Blog 365 dropped out halfway through the year and didn't bother to even let the rest of us know.

So now I don't know if we even get any kind of recognition for our accomplishment or not.

I posted in a couple places in his blog. I hope he feels at least some responsibility towards those of us who did this for/with him.

Sheesh!

ETA: He did acknowledge the winners on the official site and with a nice badge too--I'll get it up later today. :-)

The problem is...

you get in the habit of posting every day, and now it's hard to stop running off at the mouth, errrr fingers.

I just feel really ripped off, especially if he never acknowledges our comments in *his* blog, asking him to at least come back over to the Blog 365 site he started and at least say, "Job well done!" or something. We earned at least a little freaking graphic badge for this. If we don't get one from him, by ghods, I'll make one of my own. :-/

ETA: We *did* get a nice badge. All's well that ends well. :-)

Just joined

NaBloPoMo. I don't know if I'll do *any* posts on the theme for the month (which is an optional thing anyway).

Okay, back to eating the rest of my breakfast--yes, I get very very distracted by the Internet. :-P

Thinking back

2008 was some kind of year, wasn't it? I mean especially the politics and the history-making events.

I'm glad I was blogging every day during all that. I wrote in my paper journal too. It's nice to have something to look back at and see what you did with your days and what things occurred. Time doesn't seem to have been wasted quite so much if you can actually see how you *spent* it.

This is a cheaty post

The theme for blogging for this month at NaBloPoMo is "Change".

So okay, here is where you should go...and OFTEN: Change.gov

Of course, after January 20th (woohoo!!!), we'll all be going to The White House's official site!! YAY OBAMA!!

Time warp - radiation thoughts

It's weird to feel it now, and after many years.

I have just now been reading back through January of 2002. I was finishing my radiation treatments then. I just plowed through that part and didn't really feel scared or anything (the radiation part--the surgery part the year before scared me). *Now* I have tears in my eyes.

I guess I'm feeling so thankful for the support Cat'r and Bunnicula gave me, also my counselor from Cancer Family Care, my friends on LiveJournal (I was still there, then), etc.

It's almost like I'm reading the posts of someone else and feeling sympathy for her. Is that weird or what?!

Blog 365 award + gift

Yay! Here they are. Thanks!

Warning: More AC:CF

I play Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii. I played a lot so far today. I'll need to go back after 5pm, since that's when Pete delivers the mail; and both DH and I ordered a lot of furniture for me from Tom Nook.

I got my basement this morning, so I am rearranging all my furniture in my house, plus decorating a new room. You can actually hang wallpaper and lay carpeting in the basement now! Yay for finished basements!

Also, yesterday I was gifted with one of the rare series of furniture: the Jingle series. I didn't go running around on Christmas Eve, trying to find Jingle, so some friends had an extra set they had gotten and gave it to me--nice!

Tomorrow Tom Nook is closing shop to renovate and expand his store. When he opens up again on Monday, we'll have a full-blown Nookington's in town! So no shopping or selling or ordering things tomorrow. I always hate those days when he's closed. At least we don't have those awful raffle days at the end of the month anymore like we did in the GameCube version of the game! :-D
