I just realized I haven't been knitting or crocheting anything lately.

This is the time when I should be thinking about preparing for autumn. Thinking about autumn and winter helps me get through summer, which is my least favourite season.

I have my silver-green garter-ridge scarf to finish knitting. I'll probably work on that during the Democratic National Convention. That scarf is filled with politics. :-) Then I hope to make a matching hat and wrist warmers. Technically they should be for early springtime, as the colour is just not autumnal. But it's such a pretty colour...

I want to make more hats. I love making hats, especially crocheting them, as they work up fast.

since I've read a book that has me mentally saying to myself, "Just let me finish this section. Just let me finish this chapter, then I'll [fill in the blank]".

That book is Angels All Over Town by Luanne Rice. A touch of the supernatural, but mostly it's about family, relationships, career choices, and how we deal with things.
