All three of my Lamys arrived today! See the pics again at CM's Diary (scroll down for the third pen).

The colour on the raspberry AL-Star is not at ALL as pink as that! It's pretty much a frosty aluminum RED. Nice, though. :-)

So I have J. Herbin Lie de The (brown) ink in the lime-green Safari (and boy, that fine point seems like a medium, though it's marked F on the nib); J. Herbin Rouge Opera in the raspberry AL-Star (what an interesting old-looking yet pale and slightly watery red coming out of the extra-fine nib!); and Pelikan Royal Blue in the blue-with-red-clip Safari--this blue is almost the same as Parker Quink Washable Blue. What I really need for this last pen is Diamine China Blue. I'm getting a sample of it in a day or so. Then after that I can decide if I'll spring for a bottle this month or next.

Anyway, all three pens are lovely smoooooth writers! I love them!

Although this was the last game in my non-scoring round of Hearts (single elimination--I was out in the first round), I got the PERFECT shooting hand, first time! I got the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, ten, and nine of Hearts, plus the Ace of Spades. Thankfully the robots on Yahoo games were dumb enough to give me the Queen of Spades when I led the Ace of Spades the second trick in. Then I just started with the Ace of Hearts and went down the line, drawing all the hearts out!

I chose to add 26 points to everyone else's scores--otherwise the game would've gone on forEVer if I'd taken -26 points for myself.

So I won this round, although it didn't count for me. I guess my partner and I are now both on the sidelines, ready to root the others on and ready with ice cream and hugs for the losers. :-)

• 17:43 Waiting to hear if I'll being playing the last game(s) of the Hearts round now or later tonight. This is part of GOF Tournaments. #
