Inks, Cat'r, and the Fourth
Even though my Twitters will be shipped here each night and form a "post", I don't know if that should count as my blog post of the day for Blog 365.
To that end: thinking about inks I want to buy. I think I need a *bottle* of J.Herbin's Poussierre de Lune. I have this dusty burgundy colour in short international cartridges, but I want to be able to use this colour in any pen. I don't trust Private Reserve Burgundy Mist anymore. It's a beautiful colour, but I had a bottle go bad on me really quickly. I mostly want to stick with J.Herbin and Diamine inks. I am also being drawn to one ink: Rohrer & Klingner's Alt Bordeaux. It's very like Poussierre de Lune...Other inks I still trust: Parker Quink and Waterman and Pelikan. I just want to avoid the heavily-saturated inks. And I want to stay with older names in the ink business. J.Herbin began in 1670!!!
Cat'r left L'ville around 9pm tonight (it's still Thursday to me) and got here shortly before 11pm. Yay! We'll have a three-day weekend this time! Tomorrow we'll have our day-time fireworks and then some pretty night-time ones too. Main meal of the day will be, of course, hot dogs etc.
Well, off to check on Twitter, then to bed.
