Today in Candlefd

(cross-posted from my Animal Crossing: Wild World Diary at my website)

I went back to Candlfd today. I hadn't been since early January (I *think*)! I took down the festive trees, candles, and flag. I had everyone clean out their closets and sell off winter clothes and get into some springtime garb. Then there was the inevitable uh, cleaning of the house and the weeding of the entire town. Jeremiah left at some point. :-( We all got a letter from him saying "Goodbye". I had had him in my town for at least a year. Oh well. :-/ I don't have near enough flowers around town yet. I have gold roses and four-leaf clovers around my house; but otherwise, not much is blooming yet in Candlefd.

I haven't been to Luisvill yet--I hope Dora didn't move out! Eep! I'll find out later today.

I've been in the wrong places today

Maybe I'm happier when I am ignorant. Um, I guess that's why they say, "Ignorance is bliss"?

First I read a radical feminist's rant against Joss Whedon and his series "Firefly" and the followup theatrical release, "Serenity". I didn't know it was going to be that hate-filled. I haven't been very cognizant of what radical feminists thought. I sure did learn a lot today. All I had known in the past is what Bunnicula had told me, that any act of consensual sex is viewed by some as "rape".

Shortly thereafter I found out what radical feminists think of transgendered folk. This is too much. It's hard to believe the stupid prejudices of people. :-(

I managed to wander around on the Web and feel a little calmer after that, because all of it was so upsetting.

Then I was over at Daily Kos and followed a link to an interesting-looking blog. There was a mention leading to somewhere else that was full of all kinds of racial hatred. ::sigh:: I've had enough hatred for the day (or the month or the year).

I need to get back to Animal Crossing: Wild World. And I need to trust that Barack Obama will help us with this. I can't think about it anymore tonight. It's just overwhelming sometimes.
