Furnace
I'd been hearing some weird noises in the wall for the last few days (mechanical noises). We're on the third floor in our apartment complex. Then late last night I could hear something even in the front hall. Eep!
This morning Bunnicula and I went down to the furnace room. It was the furnace, sounding distressed. We were about to go back upstairs, where I would phone the landlords and tell them about it, when one of their agents showed up. Apparently someone else had phoned them about it. He said he would phone the heating company to come out and look at it.
Well *some*one came out--I hope it wasn't just a property maintenance man. The water was off for a little while (this is a hot water heating system). I don't know now if the furnace is off, drained, working, or what. It's not making any weird sounds anymore; but I guess we'll find out when it gets chilly enough to run the heat if the furnace is still operational.
