CountryMouse's Refuge

This is one that I recorded off the Independent Film Channel. It's "Muriel's Wedding". B. and I watched it this afternoon.

In 1990's Australia a girl who is shy and an outsider eventually gets her life turned around. B. and I thought at first it would just be a flat-out comedy, then things started going kind-of serious. But since we like happy endings, we hung in there and were rewarded. It might not be your standard happy ending, but it was a satisfying one. It was definitely worth seeing. :-)

Today has been and still is a rainy, mild day. Bunnicula went over to the shopping center and got us a few things.

While B. was gone shopping, I played "Legend of Mana" some more. I helped Niccolo clear the Luon Highway of bandits; I fought the two Little Sorcerers (and now they are apprenticed to me); and I now have a monster egg incubating in my barn. When it hatches, I guess it can start coming along with me on my adventures and help me fight! :-) I also have fruit growing in my orchard now, to feed to my monster(s)/pets.

Cat'r isn't coming up this weekend. He was supposed to go to a gaming convention; but he isn't feeling well, so he's resting up this weekend.

Haven't gone to CNN's or MSNBC's pages yet, so I have no idea what's going on in the news.
