Yesterday stuff

Yesterday I ended up going back to bed around 8am and sleeping until 11:30am! Wow, that's late for me!

In the afternoon I watched a movie I'd recorded off the Independent Film Channel called "Au Revoir Les Enfants", which is about a French boarding school for boys during World War II and how the war affects the people there, in a general way and on a more personal level.

In the evening Bunnicula and I listened to the Prologue and Chapter 1 of Barack Obama's book, The Audacity of Hope, as recorded in a post last night.

Then I spent some time online blogging about the above, adding it to my Shelfari shelf, catching up on email, and generally dawdling around online. I also did the usual monthly fiddly stuff on my website of changing all the little calendars and making a new page in CountryMouse's Diary.

I still need to do some dishes before I go to bed!

Cat'r didn't come up yesterday afternoon because he had something he had to go to down in L'ville in the evening. He's hoping he can drive up in the morning. Me too, hoping!

Nervous about Tuesday

Tuesday is Ohio's day for voting in the Primaries. I so want Barack Obama to win Ohio for the Democrats!

I have already voted; Bunnicula will vote on Tuesday. I am not sure if Cat'r will be able to make it up here in time for Early Voting tomorrow/today.

I forget if I mentioned this already: but Bunnicula made a trip to the Obama HQ not too far from us late last week. He was able to get us some buttons and stickers. I have a sticker on our front door now, right below a picture of Ganesha and my "Keep hope alive!" candle. I have a button on my knitting bag and a button on my "mouse bag" (a carryall that I embroidered my name on long ago). I have buttons to give to Cat'r too. :-)

The day so far

Got to bed around 5am (eeeeep!), slept until 10am. Breakfast, online, straightening things up, reading.

Cat'r got here around 3pm, sporting his new glasses (I helped him pick out his new frames a couple weeks ago). They are Keith-Olbermann cool. :-)

We all played one quick round of Coloretto, then the guys went out to get stuff from Fresh Market. I have been putting more books on my Shelfari shelf. Anyway, they are on their way back now, so more games will ensue, I'm sure. :-P

The rest of today

Cat'r and I played a little two-player card game called "Pico 2" (with cute little hedgehogs on the cards).

Then we all played "Mad Scientist University". This is a storytelling card game. Bunnicula and Cat'r are better at this than I am. :-P

Next we played Hearts. We all ended up with VERY close scores! Cat'r shot the moon once. :-)

Suppertime and reading. People wandered off to their respective computers. Then Cat'r went to bed early, as he too had gotten to bed late last night, although he had a good reason: he was at a birthday party. :-)

I then cooked up a batch of my little meals for the next several days. And now I am thinking of hitting the hay myself very soon.

May-an, I am so close to finishing the book Spin by Robert Charles Wilson. It is SO GOOD. Cat'r assured me it has a good ending. :-) As soon as Cat'r finishes reading the sequel, Axis, I want to read that!
