Snow!

We had some snow overnight, so here is a little voice + pic post about it. PLUS please go see Bunnicula's photos of the snow zie took a little later this morning! :-)

Tonight

I have a Hearts game to play tonight in the Garden of Friendship Cupid Tournament. I played several games of Hardwood Hearts earlier today and stunk! Every daggone time I got the Queen of Spades. Sheesh! I hope that's out of my system before tonight!

As to the lunar eclipse: if we're able to see it out our bedroom window or my computer room window, we'll watch that way. It's going to be 18*F. by that time tonight! I am NOT going outside to watch it! That's assuming we don't have an overcast sky.

Joan Baez and politics

I have long admired and enjoyed the music of Joan Baez. On a whim I decided to go to her web pages today.

There I found that for the first time *ever* she has decided to endorse a political candidate. That candidate is Barack Obama. Here is her endorsement.

I am so stoked. All the people I admire are in his camp. Coool.

Eclipse

I am sitting here at my computer. I have the curtains open, and I can look out and see the moon. It is about 1/3d GONE. It is so weird and spooky-looking, even though I know what's going on with it. Still....

I can't take photos of it from inside because of these dang double-glazed windows. It makes a double-image of the moon.

It's a shadow of its former self

The moon is in shadow right now. I can see where it is, but just barely.

I played (and lost by one point!) my Hearts games. My friend and I kept going to look at the moon!

Okay, going to see if I can view the moon better from the bedroom. NOT going outside--it's 12*F. out there! Yow!

The moon

is not a bright copper-y red, like I remember from another time. It's almost not-there, with a hint of copper colour to it.
