We're okay + Cat'r's okay
At 1:15am the sirens went off here. In our county, if you are under a Tornado Watch, and then you get a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, the sirens are sounded. So I went and turned on the TV. One of the WKRC weathermen I trust, Tim Hedrick, was on. He said there were no tornado warnings, and explained what was about to come through and that it would be over in 1/2 hour.
So we went back to bed, although B. checked out the window a couple times. He said at one point the rain was so heavy he could not see the houses across the street.
I was shocked when I turned on the TV this morning and learned there are at least 44 confirmed fatalities from the storms in the states south and west of us. The damage is bad. This was a pretty serious outbreak of tornadoes, especially for this time of year. :-/ And it's still dangerous south and now east of us.
So I hope everyone stays safe. Tornadoes are just too scary. And dangerous.
