Politics and weather

I am sitting here at my computer, watching the raindrops slide down the window. It has slowed down from the all-out heavy-rain thunderstorm that awakened me.

Today is a get-little-odds-and-ends-done day. Because tonight is the Super Tuesday coverage! CNN is having all-day, all-night coverage even as I type this! This is sorta the Super Bowl for political fans. Or wait, the conventions this summer are. No wait, November is THE big day. :-D

I hope we don't have any go-to-the-basement weather tonight. We are in a slight-risk-of-severe-weather area for tonight. I just want to enjoy watching the results...or projections, actually. Bunnicula says that they won't really know the results until 2am tomorrow or so.

Last night our lights kept flickering every once in a while. We weren't having any weird weather at that point. I finally got worried enough to save my game in "Endless Ocean" and quit. Then I got out our Coleman battery-operated lantern to have it ready. I hope we're not going to need it.

We are having unseasonably mild weather. It got up in the 60's yesterday, didn't go below about 60*F. last night, and might near 70*F. today. It will get colder behind this front coming through tonight. Then we are promised truly cold winter weather this weekend. BUT NO SNOW! ::sigh:: I wonder if we will have even just *one* good snowstorm this winter??

Sooooo, I guess I'll come out and say that I'm almost certainly going to vote for Hillary Clinton [EDIT: Feb. 15, 2008: Mousie changes her mind. I voted for Barack Obama.]. Our primary is on March 4th. Which is a command. So I will [EDIT: Jan. 15, 2008: I already voted via absentee ballot]. :-) I feel Hillary is stronger on universal health care than Barack Obama, cares more about senior citizens, and has more experience with various heads of state worldwide. [EDIT Jan. 15, 2008: But I am seeing more inspirational leadership qualities in Barack Obama, and more straight-out ambition in Hillary--at least that's my take on it.]

Of course whatever is the outcome of the Democratic Convention this summer, that's who I will vote for in November. I am a proud Democrat and support the party through thick and thin. :-) [EDIT Jan. 15, 2008: unless of course the super delegate thing goes totally awry. If the super delegates go against the wishes of the people and cost us the November election, I will be sorely tempted to become an Independent]

My microphone!

This is the microphone I am using with Utterz! I have decided this would be easier to do than phoning in my voice posts when I'm sitting right here at the computer! Have a look/listen!

Mostly Endless Ocean

I posted more about my latest exploits in "Endless Ocean" over in CountryMouse's Diary. Clicky here.

Scary weather

I'm posting this using the online form, from Bunnicula's computer. I just didn't want to leave my computer on while we are hanging out in the living room, watching the Super Tuesday results.

We have a tornado watch until 2am. I wish I wouldn't get so nervous about this stuff. The radar doesn't look good. The tornado watch covers L'ville too, where Cat'r is. I'm hoping we'll all be okay.
