To All My Future Scrabble and Literati Opponents

Yaw is a word. It is one of the three flight dynamics: pitch, roll, and yaw. When an air or space vehicle pitches, its nose moves up or down; when it rolls, it rolls like a barrel; when it yaws, its nose moves to the right or left.

In popular literature, it has been used thus: "We made it to the stairs and found a hamster tunnel of plastic...The concrete under our feet...trembled and yawed." -- "Windfall" by Rachel Caine.

So if you see me use the word "yaw", remember that it can be a noun or verb. Remember that you can add on, making such words as yaws, yawing, yawed.

Debates

I am probably going to watch as many debates as possible between now and our primary on March 4th, to help me get a better feel for who I think would make the best Presidential candidate.

Tonight's Democratic debate helped me some. At least now I am not all over the place in my thoughts about who I should vote for. I'll watch to see how the other primaries before ours go, plus how trends are going for each of the candidates. I have pretty much weeded out one, although if he ends up being nominated, you better believe I'll support him in November rather than give my vote to the Republicans.
