I have been told that to have a successful blog entry that, among other things, you shouldn't put in links that people have to follow in order for them to see the rest of what you are trying to tell them or show them.

::sigh:: That shows such incredible laziness, IMO. I always like to follow links and see where they go! Isn't that the beauty of hyperlinks?! That you can keep following them and never know WHERE you are going to end up? That's what "surfing the Web" means!

Oh well, I am not going to worry about "successful" blog entries. If you want to see something interesting sometimes, you'll jolly well have to make an effort to see it. :-P

/mini-rant

I've finished checking the number of entries in my IJ archive against the originals over on LiveJournal. Everything is here now. :-)

Next I need to check all the links within archived posts to change them to lead to IJ and not LJ anymore.

I think I need a break. :-P

Going back through the archives: I *could* rename this journal yet again! Here was a thought back in 2001.

Okay, I have only gotten through the first half of 2001, checking every entry for broken/misguided links. This is gonna take a *while*.
