I just purchased a Permanently Insane account.

I had been reading the posts in the 07refugees community with more and more alarm, so I got the account tonight.

I still don't know how to make the ljarchive program work right. I will see about getting in touch with their support team tomorrow if I still keep getting the same error message.

Okay, I should be using my little UMPC if I want to read and eat. But I keep running back and forth between my meal and my desktop computer, as I think of just one more thing I want to look at or "do quickly". Heh.

Today I will trying to use the ljarchive backup program, to back up 7 years' worth of posts and comments on LiveJournal. I hope it works! I'm sure if I have any problems with the backup program I can get help with it. :-)

I got Bunnicula to sign up for a free account here too. S/he doesn't use hir LiveJournal much, just on an infrequent basis, but s/he doesn't feel safe there anymore either.

Okay, not much by some folks' standards, but I now have 73 userpics uploaded. I still have room for 227. ::grin:: There certainly is something to be said for being permanently insane! LOL!

I've had this journal for 7 years. It's time I backed it up! There is so much here I'd hate to lose. I'm trying to use ljarchive, but it's being buggy on me.

Grey day, mild temps. at present; we're due to get rain, maybe thunderstorms (eep) later. Then we'll get back closer to seasonal temperatures.

I should go do things around the house instead of sitting at the computer! Eeeeek! Addiction! :-P

Well, I *think* everything uploaded okay! I think it said a couple or so posts didn't make it, but I am NOT going back through years and years of posts to find out what they were. I think they might've been custom group posts (which were very very few). Yay!

Now to make everything over on LiveJournal Friends Only!

There is a line of what is probably thunderstorms coming, and I may have to shut down the computer. So I'll wait until later to make the changes over on LiveJournal.

I have a lot of links in my CountryMouse's Diary that will end up not being useful if I make everything Friends Only on LiveJournal. I'll have to think about this...
