Snow, low temps, etc.
It's not that there's very much snow...maybe an inch or two. But it's cold out (9*F.), with wind chill temps around -10*F. or more; and the usual salt the roads are treated with doesn't work well at these low temperatures.
Cat'r left around 6:15am. He phoned about 1/2 hour later to let me know he had gotten as far as downtown (which usually takes half that time from here to there). He said it's not bad, but everyone is going about 40mph and trying to be sensible and drive safely. He told me not to worry.
I'm staying up until I hear he's back safely. I'll get a nap later today.
8:43am: ETA: Cat'r phoned about 10 minutes or so ago--he's safely back in his work town, having breakfast at The Waffle House. :-)
