Nokia N800 Internet Tablet PC
I got this last Wednesday. I am still feeling ambivalent about it. It does a lot of things, but it has a habit of turning on by itself inexplicably. OnLy twice so far, but it's unnerving. It's a known issue, but not until you buy it and learn what others are experiencing.
Also the keyboard sometimes wants to stay stuck in caps. These are not things wrong with this unit, but with the N770 and N800. It's great for developers and such as it uses open source software. But for the casual user it's waaaay complicated.
Oh yeah. The right edge of this unit's screen is a little dark. This IS a known problem with N800's coming from amazon.com. But if I exchange it, there is a good chance its replacement will have the same problem.
Still I can't find anything else that is this small and light and at this price. Last night I went to bed sure I was going to send it back; this morning I am enjoying it again. What to do, what to do...
ETA: It's an expensive toy. Do I really need this?
