Bunnicula is sealing up the windows with thick plastic and duct tape. He said it's appropriate, what with North Korea and its nuclear testing, etc.
However, that's not why he's doing it. He's doing it for your annual rite of insulating the house for winter. :-P Our windows have metal frames. In cold weather moisture condenses on the inside of the windowpanes and in even colder weather, that moisture FREEZES, reflecting cold back into the rooms. BRRR. So we pick a day (this is always a gamble) that's warm and dry just before the colder weather we think is heralding the end of warm weather. Sometimes we do it a bit too soon, some years we've waited almost too late.
Anyway, we're halfway there in case there *is* some other reason for the plastic and duct tape!
