Put your digital music player on shuffle. Write down the first ten songs it comes up with.
Here are mine:
1. Tingri - Jonn Serrie (Tingri)
2. Untitled Air/Lady Hammond's Alman - Randy Wilkinson (Elizabethan Music for Dulcimer)
3. Danny Boy - Meav Ni Mhaolchatha (Celtic Woman)
4. The Butterfly - Mairead Nesbitt (Celtic Woman)
5. This Feminine Position - The Roches (Nurds)
6. The Prayer - Andrea Bocelli & Celine Dion (Sogno)
7. Orphans of the Storm (from the soundtrack of "Brideshead Revisited")
8. Blush (Only You) - Plumb (Chaotic Resolve)
9. Ballad of Harry and Esther - Sally Fingerett (The Women of Kerrville, Vol. 2)
10. The Dawning of the Day - Mary Fahl (The Other Side of Time)
General Thoughts: Not anything heavily rock here, although I have a lot of Smiths and Morrissey on my iPod
Seen Live: Mary Fahl (twice when she was the lead singer for October Project; once after she went solo)
Favourite Song: "The Prayer", because of the intensely perfect harmony of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion.
Least Favourite Song: Ballad of Harry and Esther (although I could change my mind--I haven't listened to this album all the way through--I got it from eMusic)
Favourite Album(s): Brideshead Revisited, Sogno, Celtic Woman (hard to choose just one!)
Memory Trigger: Orphans of the Storm. I used to ask for this album as background music when getting a massage. :-)
Best Song for a Long Car Ride: All this music is only good if you are a passenger. All will pretty much relax you tooo much if you are driving! Okay, The Butterfly is a medium-tempo fiddle tune.
