The reason this touches me personally, the problem with Sew Fast/Sew Easy and their threatening of non-profit groups who use the name (or any variant of) Stitch 'N Bitch, is that my local SnB errrrr, stitching group has been directly affected/threatened-with-lawsuit by them.
Our group's leader found out when she tried to open a CafePress shop just for items we could buy to show our pride in our group. She was shut down in record time because of the so-called copyright infringement. She also had direct contact with someone from that place, and they did threaten with lawsuit. Then came the letter to all the Yahoo! groups who had Stitch 'N Bitch (or any variant thereof) in their names. Change the name or be deleted/banned.
We are at present Cin City Stitch. grrrr.
As soon as I get my Free to Stitch, Free to Bitch tote bag, I'm taking it (with my projects in it) to all my SnB uh Cin City Stitch meetings. Wearing a button or two also.
