Forgot to mention:

Yesterday, after Cat'r and I got back from running errands etc., we came home to find the electricity off. It was off from about 4:05pm (Bunnicula said--he had been home, holding down the fort) until 5:15pm. It was *almost* starting to get tooo warm for mice in here. I was on the verge of asking Cat'r to take all of us somewhere COOL, when the power came back on! Whew! :-)

I just heard from Swimmer this morning, via email. I am SO RELIEVED! He has been very very ill. I *was* keeping in close contact with him...and then I let a lot of time go by.

Truth to tell, I didn't phone him on his birthday like I always had before. I don't know if I even sent him a birthday card. I wasn't sure where he was--home, hospital, hospice, where. And I was afraid to find out what was up...if I would get my mail returned or something. That is a stoopid reason not to stay in touch with someone.

So thank the ghods he wrote to ME today. I wrote RIGHT BACK.
