Afternoon/evening jaunt

Late this (it's still Tuesday to me) afternoon we all went to Barnes & Noble (one lone crochet magazine--harrumph--a People magazine (hey, I'm addicted to American Idol), one of John Edward's books I didn't have (in paperback), a little divination deck called The Answer Deck (pretty cool!), and a deck of bedtime wishes cards called Sweet Dreams. I can't remember if I got anything else there.), then Johnny Rocket's (good food, great service, fun-to-watch entertainment!), and then Half-Price Books (wow, a Tasha Tudor book, a booklet with a crochet mouse pattern in it, a Don McLean double album CD, and a set of three Yo-Yo Ma DVDs ("Inspired By Bach") that I had been wanting for some time. Great prices there! Oh, and I ran into a lady in the arts/crafts book section who asked me about my crocheted hat and scarf, if I had made them, what the yarn was, etc. She said I did good work, and that she teaches crochet. W00t! I told her about Debbie Stoller's (the Stitch 'n Bitch lady) next book coming, in the fall, that will be about CROCHET! She was glad to hear that! :-)

We capped off the evening with watching two more episodes of "Deadwood" on DVD. Bunnicula got himself a book on the *real* Deadwood at Half-Price Books. He's very into it right now. :-)

Anyway, just wanted to record this somewhere as we had a fun time and I didn't want to forget when it was. :-)
