I just got a set of Crystal Palace bamboo knitting needles today. I thought, "Wow, how smooth!" and was thinking of getting more, plus CP bamboo crochet hooks!

Then I started seeing scary things online about how easily the CP bamboo knitting needles splinter and such.

Are Clover crochet hooks better? Does Clover make bamboo knitting needles too? And if so, are they better/more durable?

Or should I just stick to Brittany birch wood, if I want that feel?

I already posted about this in a couple of communities, but I know a couple knitters and crocheters read my LJ. Any feedback would be most welcome. :-)

got his car back today! Yay!!!

However, the body shop guys washed the outside and "detailed" the inside, so I won't be riding in it for about a week or more, until that smelly "new car" smell (chemicals) outgasses/dissipates. Don't feel like having breathing problems. :-/
