Snow!

It snowed just about all day yesterday, and we ended up with somewhere between 4-6 inches of snow! Wheeeee!

There is more on the way. Overnight tonight and tomorrow we are supposed to get snow, sleet, and freezing rain, with accumulations of snow around 2-4 inches.

I took some really weird photos last night out the plastic-covered bedroom windows (around 9pm), and then from the front landing around midnight. I also took some just now, from the front landing. Wow, it's cold out in the hall! (it's about 18oF. outside at the moment)

No car, crazy shoppers

We don't have a car available at the moment, so no weekly grocery shopping today.

Bunnicula went over on foot to our usual supermarket to get a few things to tide us over. He had to carry things around the store in his ARMS! There were *no* carts and no small baskets available!! This is a *large* grocery store! B. said that it was much more crowded than is usual for a Friday.

It must be the snow/sleet/freezing rain storm coming. It makes people run around crazily, buying up bottled water, cans of pork 'n' beans, and lots of batteries!

Loom knitting and crochet update

Sent a box of ten hats (one crocheted and nine loom knitted) and one scarf (bought scarf that B. donated) to charity a couple days ago.

That night I made some granny squares for a lady in Australia. Those will go out probably on Monday.

Today I crocheted for *hours* and finished my "Night Falls on the Amazon" car laprobe/lapghan. :-) It's done in (mostly) TLC Amore yarn: Amazon (variegated greens and golds), bordered by Persimmon, then Red Heart Plush Navy (which is basically the same as TLC Amore), and finally Black. It's just a simple double crochet, with the edgings in DC also.

Now I will be nice and warm in the backseat (I am still avoiding the front seat and air bag).
