Cat'r's poor new/used car :-(

Last night he got broadsided in a shopping center parking lot. Not his fault. Insurance will pay for everything. But the passenger side door is shot, and the steering is seriously scary. Nobody was hurt, thankfully!

Insurance adjuster coming out in the next day or so to look at it.

Crochet stuff + loom knitting stuff

I finished Bunnicula's crocheted watch cap (made with Caron Simply Soft in Light Country Blue) today. It fits perfectly--yay! I was worried the pattern was off, but it wasn't. I also gave him one of the loom knitted hats I had made (Flag Blue and Fisherman (cream) Lion Brand Chunky USA)--it's gonna get REALLY cold again this weekend.

My Herrschners order arrived today, so I got the 4 skeins of TLC Amore, Amazon colour, that I'd been waiting for. I started my "Night Falls on the Amazon" car laprobe! I am going to put an edging of blue-black around it when I finish it--because I have TLC Amore Black and Red Heart Plush Navy leftovers on hand LOL! The laprobe is just two strands held together, double crochet with an L hook (Boye Balene II hook--I love it!).

I am also working on a Homespun Ranch (brown) (with a small horizontal Deco (cream) stripe) hat on the yellow (largest) Knifty Knitter loom. That one goes to charity.

I'm going to loom knit a totally one-colour iron-grey/black one (Homespun Edwardian) for Cat'r, then crochet him a two-colour scarf of Edwardian and Corinthian (earth tones with lots of red in it)--just 6" of one colour, then 6" of the other, then continue to alternate for however long I want to make it. It's in double crochet. Pattern is over on the Lion Brand site, but it's super easy.

Car update

The GEICO guy showed up around noon today with check-in-hand and paperwork. Wow, that was quick! He said the people on the phone last night were just great too! Oh, I remember: the body shop is supposed to replace the front right wheel and look at the front-end alignment. And of course there is the front passenger side door...

So Cat'r and Bunnicula have (I hope) now made it safely over to the dealer (whose body shop is well known as a good one), to leave it off with the paperwork etc.
