errrr I mean: this is about compression. I was using very very low compression on my .jpg's, ever since I got my Coolpix camera; and the file sizes were just toooo big. I started worrying about eventually running out of room on our current web host. Plus I hadn't been keeping in mind that there *are* still people out there using dialup, so some of my pages might be taking longer to load than is reasonable.

So I did redo one page so far: THE DOG. Fewer pictures (some were totally redundant), and those that are there are smaller, file-wise.

I have a lot of work to do, over time, on my entire Coolpix section, the gel pen section, and a couple pages in CM's Diary too.

Boy, I'll be glad when Bunnicula's check shows up in the checking account (which should be around midnight tonight or 4am tomorrow morning)! It's scary to have only money in the single digits in your joint checking account! Heh, and I have just a few dollars more than *that* in my own account. Fortunately there's a bit more than that in our savings account. But still........

Everyone is talking about pirates in their LiveJournals! So I can too. Hehehehe. Last night...or was it two nights ago? ... Cat'r and I watched "The Black Swan", starring absolutely drop-dead gorgeous Tyrone Power (from Cincinnati!!) and lovely Maureen O'Hara. Short but swash-buckling, a great movie! If you ever get a chance to see it, DO! Aaarrrrrr!
